100 Mile Potluck

5th Annual 100 Mile Potluck – Sunday, September 30

Our 5th annual “100 Mile Potluck” is once again hosted by our Green Chalice Creation Care Team. We are asking everyone to bring a dish or food item that has at least one ingredient that was produced or grown within 100 miles of Shaker Heights.

To reduce waste we are also asking everyone to bring dinnerware, silverware, and a glass or cup that you can take back home and wash. We will share local food resources, educational information, fun and fellowship! Save the date and plan to attend!

Creation Care Month begins Sept. 9

Our theme this year is “Bodies” and will include worship and adult studies during the last 4 Sundays in September.  On Sept. 9 we’ll focus on Bodies of Water.  Bodies of Land will follow on Sept. 16.   Then on Sept. 23 we turn our attention to our Human Bodies with a special worship service in the Campbell Room that you won’t want to miss.  Finally on Sept. 30 we’ll look at how we can resist the forces that seek to destroy the beauty and wonder of God’s good creation, followed by our annual 100 mile potluck (more on that in a separate post!).
