Just for Visitors

Welcome!  If you're visiting us for the first time, we pray that you experience the presence of God in Scripture, song, Word and abundant hospitality.  Here's what you can expect when you walk through our door on Sunday:

Greeters will welcome you, hand you a bulletin with the order of worship, direct you to a coat rack if necessary, and ask you to sign our guest register.  They can answer any questions you have about Heights Christian Church or the Disciples of Christ, and provide literature if you want it.

We have large print bulletins and hearing assist systems at the rear of the sanctuary - just ask a greeter.

We're happy to see your children!  We have a professionally staffed nursery upstairs for the young ones (under 5); ask a greeter to direct you. Children from kindergarten through sixth grade stay in worship until after the children's moment, which occurs after the call to worship and the initial hymn, then leave for classes.

We celebrate Communion every Sunday, and all are welcome to participate.

Immediately after the service, we have a time of fellowship, including coffee and light refreshments.  This usually lasts 15-20 minutes, then we have a selection of adult classes.  Bible Study is a constant; we also have either a current events topic discussion or a short (4-6 week) class focused on some aspect of spiritual development.
